Reflection on week 10

              I had  great time on this Webskill course with my instructor and all my lovely classmate . I enjoyed  a lot evolving in varieties of tasks having lot of knowledge and ideas about technological tools as well. So it was precious and valuable  period for me.

During this course I found many topics successful like ABCD objective, CALL and Oral/aural skill, Learning Autonomy,  Teaching large classes and learning styles, multiskill activities and websites, project based learning.
Among them the ABCD objectives, teaching large classes and learning styles were more useful for me in our context of Nepal.
All tools were very useful and interactive for teaching learning purpose but all of them are not accessible for our context Nepal. So I would prefer to use  interactive powerpoint, blogging, delicious page,project based learning,and visiting skill building websites than others for my class. 
And teaching large classes and learning styles , blogging will be the best . So I want to focus more on blogging in my future classes. 
    
For this achievements, I would like to thank heartily to entire group of this wonderful webskills  course specially  to my instructor Donna and my all colleagues for their motivation, guidance and cooperation.

Reflection on week 9


                Learning styles and multiple intelligence

              Its good to hear that we are on week 9 . It is unbelievable and amazing for me. I am really happy and proud to be a part of this course. It has helped me to brought great changes on me and  increase my self esteem and confidant. So once again I would like to thank entire group of this course.
         
 Well this week we had few works to do. So I was little bit free from the weekly assignments. But I was fully evolved and busy in my own works. This week I got opportunity to visit the articles about learning styles and multiple intelligence and explore the additional resources as well.
There are variety of tools to provide range of learning style and to explore multiple intelligence for effective and motivational teaching learning process which are must needed in our classroom performance.
               finally I completed my final project report. And for the completion of this report ,I would like to thank heartily to our  instructor Donna, my project partners Livia and Claudea for their lovely comments and feedback and to all my dearest colleagues for being cooperative. Thank you..

Reflection 8

                                                                     ANVILL

ANVILL is a great fabulous website  which is regarded as a interactive technological tool for autonomous leaner . And this week we got the opportunity to explore it which was totally new experience for me . So I would like to thank our guest Jeff Magato  for sharing such a wonderful  tool  with us.
                                      Well, this week I again created a technological tool that was our class blog which I am going to use in my class for interactive teaching learning purpose. And main thing that i  did in this week was  Project draft report . It was first experience of my life . So It was  difficult  for me but the previous week's project tasks helped me to have some guidelines for preparing project report . Now i became  clear about the project report after observing my peers review project report checklist. And this time I am very excited as well as little bit worried about my final project report . I want to do better than this. Lets see how it goes in next week..

Reflection 7


When I remember the days before joining the web skill course and these running course period ,it makes me smile. I couldn't imagine about the progress and achievement that i got during this period. It was really  beautiful moment  for me and hope it will be.....

Well , this week I got opportunity to visit many articles and materials about autonomy learner. Searching and observing the various articles i got lots of ideas and information about the autonomy learner and tips/techniques to make the learner autonomy as well. 
I created my own Padlet and also posted articles to our class wall wisher . It was totally  new experience for me, I enjoyed a lot. It is really an interactive tool for teaching learning purpose where teachers well as students can interact, express and share many articles,videos,weblink, audio ,images etc on wall. So I found it as a very interactive  tool which i wish to follow for my class to make them autonomous learner.

This week I found my project partners and I am very eager to work with them at next week project.

Week 6 Reflections

Interactive classes, Interactive power point presentation
                 

    
Interactive  classes and Interactive power point presentation were the main focus point of this week. Teaching large classes is challenging. But using Technology in large classes is great ideas for interactive classes where we can enhance learning by engaging  students actively, effectively and efficiently. There are many techniques for interactive classes which I wish to follow it for my classes too, such as collaboration, Quick think, Just -In -Time,Web based assignments, Team learning, Better communication and interactive Power point presentation etc.                       Students are the real Hunger to learn. So we can use this all students centered techniques to give them new taste of different items..

Next my attention was attracted by the Interactive power point.
This week I was quite busy though I tried my best to create an 
Interactive power point presentation on preposition. 
Finally, I got succeed and also observed so many power point presentation of my colleagues on our wikki. I found all of them 
very interesting.




Over all , I enjoyed the week very much involving in different task myself as a real hunger to learn. Thank you Donna and all my colleagues for support and being  inspiration. Thanks.........

Week 5: Reflection

                                                            " Involve me and I understand "

            Joining on Webskills - E-teacher course is proved as a great opportunity for me. Everyday, every week I have been learning various new things, ideas and knowledge by involving in different activities .

  This week I got fully involve in different activities. It was interesting. Honestly saying, I was following traditional assessment system till now and unknown with the Alternative assessment . But now involving in this week, I got the ideas and  learnt about the alternative assessment, rubric and web quest, project based learning as well which are best approaches for developing language language skills, motivating, assessing the students' performance and encouraging them to be independent and autonomous learners.

             The most interesting things of this week was creating my own Rubric and Webquest. Before a week  I was totally unknown about these ideas but now I am very happy that I got success on creating my own rubric and Webquest  by the help of our instructor Donna's instructions and guidance. I am very eager to use it in my class. So I would like to thanks Donna for such a wonderful ideas. 

Similarly involving in my own project task and  visiting my colleagues' project made me clear about the problems and different ideas for its solution. All ideas shared by my colleagues were very useful and applicable for my class too. I wish to apply those all ideas  when I will face with such type of problems  during my teaching learning process. 

                                       At last I must say that involving in this Webskills -E-Teacher course motivating me  to be a perfect teacher and encouraging me to be a autonomous learner as our students are encouraging by alternative assessment, Web quest and project based learning to be autonomous learner, Isn't it?

Week 4 Reflection


                All EFL /ESL Teacher s and students have great demand of advanced technology in teaching learning.Technology has brought great changes on the field of EFL/ESL teaching learning process.In present context most of the teaching learning problems and issues are easily solved by the help of Technology.Its being a most important source of motivation for all.

In this week 4 I did many things and collected lot of experience though I was already known with some of them .In fact I purified my experience involving on week 4 task.And It will be helpful to grow and enhanced my teaching skill in practicalities .
This week I visited many skill building websites going through the articles "Using the Internet in ESL Writing instruction."by Jarek Krajka and "Three Extensive  Reading Activities for EFL/ESL students using E-books"by Mei-Ya Liany.
I got many websites for enhancing writing and reading skill, such as www.marlo.com/cardhim, www.telegraph.com, www.online news paper.com , www.breakingnewsenglish.com and www. manythings .org.All of them were very interesting and useful. I found  the sites  brakingnewsenglish and manythings are more useful for my class.So using Internet and E-books are great ideas to  build and promote teaching learning skill. I am interested to apply it in my class and share to my students too. 
The next task I did is Technology enhanced Lesson Plan. I have been using lesson plan for my class but this time I found little bit different . Going through the given instruction and my colleagues lesson plan, it made me easy to form  technology based lesson plan.So this task helped me to improve and enhanced my experience . Now I can present my class in different ways by following technology enhanced lesson plan  than usual traditional classes .And hope to get success on it.
Finally  I completed project task on the basis of week 2 project .In teaching learning process, there are various problems  or issues related to teachers, students  classroom and teaching learning process ,that is we should identified first and should apply different ideas and techniques according to issues.I this regard technology one of them which can easily solved the raised issues.SO in this project I was able to find and identified the problems of classroom and its solution by technology.I hope this project task will provide me solutions and help me to implement in my future class .

Overall I enjoyed all tasks of week 4 .I would like to thank my instructor Donna for her instruction and feedback and to my all colleagues for being great motivation. Thank you so much....

Reflections Week -3

                                   Third Week reflected my first experience of  first week .......

The tasks instructed in third week were  new as well as interesting for me . I enjoyed a lot while completing it....

Third week had also discussion in nicenet as previous week.We discussed on CALL and  Oral/Aural skills going through the reading articles which were located in our course websites .My instructor  Donna's and fellow colleagues recommended web links  helped me to gain more information about technology.Using technology is great facilitated tools for teaching learning purpose as well as  teacher and students motivation .

Next task was really delicious for me .It was totally new taste for me .I created my own delicious site .So I would like to thank my instructor Donna for such a wonderful delicious items . I added many Favorite bookmarks in my delicious sites also observed my colleagues sites after adding in Wikki. It is really very helpful where i can  find various web links easily as fast as i needed. Before joining this course I was completely unfamiliar with delicious sites but now I am very eager to know more about such types of technology.

Finally I completed my Project task.Though it was second project for us I found it differ than first one .When I observed many PDF sample projects report from past web skill classes I found all of them were very fruitful for me  and the project that attracted my attention were the project prepared by Aleyda Linares and  by our respected teacher Prem Bahadur Phyak. As all my colleagues commented on one final project,I also commented on Aleyda Linares prepared project.My colleagues project comment were very impressive.I got the change to learn new ideas and information about the project after observing them .

I hope this experience will help me to prepare my own project in final week and in future as well.Not only that my over all experience of this week will be followed to enhance my teaching learning skills and access to my students too.So i would like to thank our instructor Donna for providing such a wonderful opportunity and guidance .

Reflection on second week

I was really enjoying on second week though there were some problems to complete assignment . This week I learned many things that  I was completely unknown before this.Through web searching discussion  i learned to use the search engine that was really new idea for me because before it i had never tried such varieties of search engines . It was really effective and useful for us that we can use it for our  daily purpose.

I was very impressed .

   After first task I was little bit confused about task 2 ABCD objectives .But when I read the reading task it helped me to complete the task.I also observed the other participant post and our instructor Donna's instructions that made me easy.  ABCD objectives was really very effective and useful method for successful teaching and fruitful outcomes .I was also excited about the project work It was first time that i had done project work in teaching. It was  my first experience .

So over all this week was less  troublesome than first week .And I hope our instructors will provide instructions and will help us to do better than this and myself hope to do better.

My First Reflection On Webskills Class

Week One Reflection 

13 January 2013

This is my first experience on learning in a different way. I got the opportunity to participate in a E-teacher course called "Web Skills" that is provided by the University of Oregon. First day of the class was started form 7th January 2013. I was really very excited as well as nervous because I was unknown about how everything will goes on. For the very first day I got some links from my tutors and I tried to open those links and I opened too but I was confuse on how to access. So without doing anything I just log out my account and shut down the computer, I was clueless what to do now? After two day later I did second attempt to log in and before that I read the instructions that my instructor had send and tried my best to follow it. When I log in my account I show some posts of my friends, to be very honest my friends posts showed me the path that what I have to do.

Then as a very first post I posted my introduction it took few hours. Isn't it shocking? yes it happened with me and that was really very hard time for me but at last I succeed. After that one by one I tried to complete my tasks lets see what will be the result. But the first week of the class was really very nice, I got chance to introduce myself and know about other 20 to 22 friends who are from different places. I'm feeling myself as a fortunate that I got such a golden opportunity. Thank you.... :) 

My experience while creating blogger

I created this blog because my Instructor Ms. Donna assigned is as our task for the requirement of the "Webskills" course purpose. For the very first time I was very confused on how and why to create personal blog because each of us has separate nicenet account and from that we can post our assignments and we can do other required things too. But as it is assigned as a task so I did it to complete my task by following the instruction. After creating my blog I again encountered another problem and that was what to do inside it and how? I tried to make myself familiar with each and every elements that included inside it and for this I took help from my sister too because she has her own blog. She helped me a lot. Now I knew why my instructure said to create own blog, this is really very nice way to share our ideas with mass. Thank you Ms. Donna for such a great idea.
